Performance Comparison & Output Notes:
- Matched Brightness & Better Clarity: A single 250W halogen outputs a broad wash of roughly 3,500-4,000 lumens. By using two EasyPro LED18WW lights, you achieve 4,140 combined lumens. Because LED light cuts through water with a tighter, more focused 30° beam, the resulting illumination on your water features will look crisper and just as bright.
- Customizable Light Spread: The old CalPump acted like a giant floodlight. With two separate LED fixtures, you have total control. You can angle them slightly apart to recreate that wide flood effect, or cross-light a specific fountain or waterfall to eliminate dark spots and shadows.
- Massive Energy Savings: The two LEDs combined will only draw 36 Watts compared to the original 250 Watts - an energy reduction of over 85%.
- Safer & More Durable: The CalPump ran on high-voltage 115V power and required 100% submersion just to keep from overheating. The new LEDs operate on a much safer 12V low-voltage system (requiring a transformer) and can be operated both in and out of the water without the risk of burning out if the pond level drops.
