After trying a few of the "cheap" alternatives - I finally lucked out and selected an ALPINE brand transformer.
I own both the 200w and 300w 12v transformers - and both have been in service EVERY day for over a year now with no problem...
None of the "cheaper" brands survived 6 month... One was dead on arrival..
Caution - many of the "cheaper" transformers look like the same design..
Don't be fooled.... Make certain the unit is an Alpine for safe, reliable and long term performance.....
