Product Details

It is important to leave a small hole open at the surface of the pond allowing for necessary gas exchange. In extreme conditions or gardening zones above USDA zone 5 we recommend the deicer be used in conjunction with an Aquascape pond aerator. Aquascape Floating Stainless Steel Pond De-Icer is ideal for keeping a small hole opening the ice during cold winter months, and insures proper gas exchange helping keep fish alive during the winter.

Perfect deicer for our 1000 gallon pond Our little pond is about 1000 gallons and this has worked great for the past 2 years. Sturdy steel construction and love the led light showing me that its working. Gets very hot and keeps a nice size hole in the surface even with the freezing temps here in Wisconsin.
