- Easily retrofit your existing pond with this skimmer unit. Effectively removes floating leaves from the surface.
- Large basket strainer capacity.
- The float weir allows varied pond water level.
- Requires water suction from intake side of a pump to operate.
- Minimum flow rate is 800 GPH.
- Requires a 2" minimum side wall or floor port to " tap into" suction side of pump.
- A rigid or flexible liner can be retrofitted to use this skimmer by adding a bulkhead fitting to the wall or floor of a pond (for proper positioning in pond).
- The float ring weir has up to 5-1/2" of vertical travel to allow for water level changes; ie: filter back-flushes, water changes and waves created by waterfall.
- The skimmer has a 2" NPT female thread in the bottom of the skimmer for suction line hook up.
- Strong construction - made from HIPS plastic.

Exceeds my expectations simply amazing
I have always been plagued with foam on the surface of my pond . The idea of retrofitted a traditional skimmer box into my pond was unreasonable . I came across this skimmer years ago but the install applications again I felt did not work for my layout , they showed plumbing the pipe through the side wall of pond . I came up with a new way to use the skimmer with a in pond sumerged pump I all ready had hooked up to filter

I LOVE these skimmers!
The contractors who built our pond last year ignored my specs and left out the external skimmer box. However they put in three bottom-fed pipes for filtration and I repurposed them this spring to hold no-niche filters. They have been FANTASTIC! I was losing fish to the external pump filter basket before I got these skimmers, and cleaning out that pump basket was a real hassle. These skimmers are easy to clean, easy to monitor, fish and tadpole friendly, and incredibly effective for both leaves and algae!
Pros:Easy to install, easy to clean, highly effective, reasonably priced.
Cons:None.
