  • Can remove dirt particles up to 3/8" in diameter, such as algae, silt, dead plants and decomposed leaves - a pond vacuum is not suitable for spring-cleaning a pond full of last year's leaves
  • Unit has one basin. As you vacuum the water will fill up, then stop and discharge the waste, then start up again and repeat this cycle.
  • Not suitable for huge ponds or lakes or for depths over 4 feet.
  • MUST be plugged in to a properly grounded and GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) protected 120 Volt outlet !

    I had another opportunity to use the Pontec Pondomatic L Pond Vacuum when I helped having my 1500 Gal pond professionally cleaned. This pond vac is did a GREAT job cleaning up 10 yrs of gook at the bottom of the pond. After the pond was refilled with fresh water and I could see the bottom clearly again, I found that the Pondomatic L Pond Vacuum did a super job of picking up small stuff on the bottom WITHOUT also sucking up a lot of water. My old stand-by, the SHOP-VAC always sucked up a lot of water and very little pond stuff. I highly recommend this for routine pond maintenance.
